Work with Us

ABCities is an independent adventure that celebrates great storytelling, intelligent sense-making and thoughtful photography. We’re a creative collective based in Colombia who love the dynamic ebb and flow of cities, the urban habitats that bring out the best and worst of us.

Cities are built every day on the constant transformation of our human spirit and our capacity to collaborate.

We’ve watched as our local habitat(s) has (have) been transformed by the powerful forces of globalization, predatory tourism and corrupt or inept governors placing their interests ahead of those of their paymasters, their citizens. And yet there’s still an enormous amount of optimism to be found in observing the proud inhabitants of a city doing their best to hold on to what makes their home so unique, struggling, often against all the odds, to do what they can to make their little corner of the world a better place.

ABCities is our attempt to capture some of the essence of that daily struggle. We want to document the places and people that make our cities so special. This is not an idealization, or romanticism of our cities, more a celebration of all the things that make them so unique.

We’re interested in imagery and stories that reflect the reality of a city in present time, in the past-present and present-future. ABCities is an effort to map cities with words, photos and videos, as they grow, evolve, regenerates, deteriorate, decay.
