Cartagena’s Azul, deep blue seas meet the bright blue skies of the Caribbean to create a dreamy horizon that will make you want to take a dive.

As “Gabo” once wrote any time you get more than four Colombians in a room it inevitably turns into a party with dancing.

There are some wonderful local neighborhoods in Cartagena, including the fiercely traditional Getsemani, world capital of fun.

There are few “ciudades” or cities as sensational as Cartagena. An assault on the six senses, this city is a stunning mix of old and new, brilliant beaches, fascinating history, pulsating nightlife and gourmet experiences.

Many of Cartagena’s colonial “casas” or houses have been converted into luxury guest houses or boutique hotels offering a unique way to stay in Cartagena and soak up the city’s beautiful backdrop and stunning architecture.

Few things are as important in Cartagena as an epic party. Many of the city’s residents are born and in the middle of a rum-fuelled celebration and will continue to tear things up until someone turns the light off, for good!
